College President

Currently, Pastor Marc Estes serves dual roles as Senior Pastor of Mannahouse and President of Portland Bible College. The role of President is a major responsibility, and Mannahouse eldership and the PBC Lead Team agree that hiring a full-time college president is the best way for PBC to remain strong and to be positioned for future growth. Once a president is hired, Marc will transition to the role of Chancellor at PBC. Ken Malmin will remain in his current role as Dean of Academics, and the Lead Team will continue to provide leadership for the college. There will be no change to the relationship between church and college: PBC will continue to be a ministry of Mannahouse Church.

Description: Provides oversight of the college mission, operations, and expansion; functions as the primary caretaker of the college’s vision, values, culture, and processes; bears primary responsibility for the college’s alignment with Mannahouse as one of its ministry centers; represents/champions the college to outside agencies, organizations, churches, alumni, marketplace and donors; leads the ongoing development of the college’s effectiveness, advancement and innovation; performs a variety of routine and special administration duties; provides oversight of PBC Lead Team; does related work as needed.

Registrar and International Student Advisor

Description: Manages all activities related to the Office of the Registrar, including academic advising, academic services, and record keeping. Provides general office and student administrative support for international students. Serves as liaison between various state and federal regulatory agencies. Does related work as needed.

Online Education Manager

Description: Supervises the Online Education Programs of PBC including the English Online Degree Program, Spanish and Portuguese Certificate Programs, Affiliate Programs, Prime Program and PBCaccess.com initiatives. Responsible for the conversion of materials and teaching from live classes to online classrooms; responsible for student experience across all online education programs and the development and application of online academic policies; manages the overall budget of online education programs; ensures that online education programs are well- represented in all PBC marketing and communications modalities; provides general administration of each online education programs; does related work as needed.

Recruitment Pastor

Description: Coordinates all efforts to recruit prospective students to Portland Bible College and administers the admissions process for all applicants. Plans and coordinates strategies and activities that optimize enrollments by attracting new students to the college. This is accomplished by providing essential information about the college as it relates to admissions and enrollment; making vital information available to the community through presentations to churches, high schools, youth groups, conferences, and fairs; working collaboratively with college faculty, staff, and current students to attract new students; fostering awareness, promotion, and support of a culture of higher education through outreach; planning, coordinating and providing administrative oversight for recruitment and outreach activities. This also involves communicating with Pastors, parents, high school officials, and prospective students. The recruitment pastor will deploy said strategies with a high level of spiritual and pastoral guidance for the students, prayerfully considering their God-given gifts and calling and helping them determine fitness for Bible College enrollment. One-on-one recruitment counseling to diverse populations is an important responsibility of this position. This occurs primarily through in-person appointments, phone calls, texts, and emails. This also includes planning and hosting all campus visitations and coordinating relevant communication between appropriate college staff and prospective students regarding program specifics and transfer standing.

Professor

PBC is looking to expand our faculty so we can continue to improve our current programs and develop new ones that will meet the needs of our students.

Description: Provides specific academic, moral, and spiritual instruction to college students as prescribed in PBC curriculum. Equips students with Biblical values for life directives. Supports general development of personal, social, and communication skills in students; including ministry development. Provides pastoral care for students. Performs a variety of routine and special teaching duties. Participates in the development of PBC programs, curriculum and policies. Does related work as needed.
