Micro Loan

In the event that a student finds it difficult to make a monthly payment, we offer a small “loan” of up to $500.00 per term. This is exclusively available for students who have a proven track record both financially and academically. In effect, this microloan postpones the amount requested, for future payment to the end of the semester.

There is a nominal administrative set-up cost of $1 for every $20 borrowed (maximum of $25); however, there is no accrued interest. This is an internal “loan” with PBC.

Student Emergency Relief Grant

Portland Bible College is has been actively working to raise funds in support of any of our current students who have been significantly impacted by COVID-19. If you have lost your job or find yourself financially in a place where you would not be able to return to school next semester due to COVID-19, you are invited to apply for the student relief fund.

This fund is primarily for current students who are planning on returning. However, if, after these needs have been met, there are remaining funds, we are very interested in using them to help new students who are planning on attending PBC.

Funds are limited and will be evaluated based on the information provided in the application. Depending on the amount of need, we will offer students either a grant, a microloan, or a combination of both.

Approved grants will be posted as Financial Aid in the student’s account. Approved loans will be posted as credits and separately invoiced.
