After graduating from Portland Bible College in 2007, Elisa was privileged to be a part of a church plant in New Zealand, and for six months she focused solely on being available for that plant. She moved to Texas after her stay in New Zealand and got a position on staff at Gateway Church where she met her husband Ben Haake. Elisa worked at Gateway Church in different key areas for several years. For a season she spent her time coordinating events in planning conferences, retreats, and different women’s events. She eventually became the tour manager for Gateway Worship and spent 2 years doing so with a spirit of excellence.
Elisa then transitioned to worship leading and helping teach vocals at Gateway’s Worship Team Academy. After 11 years in Texas, God called them to move to West Palm Beach, FL to be a worship Pastor at Christ Fellowship Church. Elisa then took on the role as a Worship Leader and eventually transitioned to become their Associate Director of Worship and Development. But her greatest accomplishment to date and her most recent move was transitioning to her most challenging role yet, homeschooling their two boys, Colin & Graham, while she continues to lead worship in her spare time.
Elisa and her husband Ben love to travel and find new places to explore. They are also big foodies who enjoy finding new places to eat.
