God has been doing something fresh among our team, bringing new faces, new energy, and a renewed sense of vision for what’s ahead. We’ve seen His faithfulness in every step, and are confident that the best days for PBC are still to come.

Derrill Corbin

Chancellor

Derrill and his wife, Michal, are the senior pastors of Mannahouse Church in Portland, Oregon. A church planter, pastor, and author with deep roots in the Pacific Northwest, Derrill has served as lead pastor of Mannahouse and Chancellor of PBC since 2024. He is dedicated to advancing Jesus’ movement through discipleship.

Simon Mould

President

Raised in the UK, Simon studied economics and international affairs. He moved to the U.S. to attend PBC, where he received his Bachelor of Theology. Simon has led numerous Christian schools and has a long teaching career in biblical worldview and international politics. He received his MA in Government and Public Policy and Doctorate of Education from Regent University.

Travis Arnold

Dean of Academics

Travis graduated from PBC in 2007. He returned in 2008 to teach full-time while completing his Master of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies at Western Seminary. Travis is an elder at Mannahouse and at a church plant in Central Washington. He and his wife, Rachel, live in Vancouver, Washington. Travis stepped into the role of Dean of Academics this year.

Mark Daniels

Dean of Students

Mark and Maureen Daniels live in Camas, Washington, with their four children. He holds a degree in Psychology from George Fox University. Mark has been on staff at Mannahouse since 1998. He currently teaches Introduction to Counseling in the fall semester at PBC, and has taken the role of Dean of Students after pastoring the Vancouver Campus of Mannahouse for several years.

Michal Corbin

Dean of Women

An alumna of Portland Bible College, Michal loves serving at PBC. She and her husband, Derrill, are senior pastors of Mannahouse, and she owns a fitness business in Camas, Washington. She loves impacting the world around her through fitness and seeing how truly we are beautifully and wonderfully made.

Joy King

Vice President of Administration & Student Success

Joy has 15+ years of multi-faceted experience at PBC. She first came on staff in 2000, assisting the Evangelism Department and pastoral staff with special events, before moving to help with a church plant. Joy has a Master’s degree in Organisational Psychology from Regent University and serves as the Vice President of Administration and Student Success.

Mariah Corbin

Vice President of Advancement

Mariah graduated with her Bachelor of Theology from Portland Bible College in 2021. She joined the PBC staff in 2022 and, in 2023, graduated from Regent University with a master’s degree in organisational leadership. Mariah teaches Speech Communication and loves seeing students find their voice.

Julliana Flavio

Music Department Director

Juliana Flavio is Lead Worship Pastor at Mannahouse Church in Portland, Oregon. Originally from Brazil, she has over 20 years of experience in worship ministry, including 15 years with MFI churches in Brazil. Called to the Pacific Northwest in 2019, Juliana is passionate about raising biblically grounded, musically equipped, and spiritually mature worship leaders who glorify God with skill and humility.

Townsend Losey

Associate Music Professor

As a relational composer who values meaningful collaboration, Townsend excels at composing with specific ensembles in mind, reflecting their unique heart, vision, and strengths. Townsend joined the PBC staff in 2025 as the Associate Music Professor. He lives in Portland with his wife, Gabrielle, and children.

Elisa Lont

Music Department Coordinator

Born in Oregon, Elisa moved with her family to Osaka, Japan, as a missionary when she was a child. She returned to Portland to attend PBC, graduating with a BCM in 2021. In addition to her administrative role, she also teaches multiple classes, coordinates the department recitals, and academically advises music students.

Lanny Hubbard

Professor

Lanny is a native of Portland, Oregon, and an alumnus of PBC, graduating in 1979. He later completed a Master of Arts in Exegetical Theology at Western Seminary. He has taught at PBC since 1978. He is highly respected as a theologian and professor. He is an elder emeritus at Mannahouse Church.

Ken Malmin

Professor

Ken has served as one of our distinguished professors since 1973. For over 50 years, Ken has developed and continues to teach numerous courses and has written corresponding textbooks for some of our key courses. Ken served as the Dean and Academic Dean of the College and continues to serve in an advisory capacity on academic affairs. He serves as an elder at Mannahouse and is on the Apostolic Leadership Team of Ministers’ Fellowship International (MFI).

Glenda Malmin

Professor

Glenda teaches several courses in theology and the humanities disciplines. She is known and loved for her practical wisdom and her willingness to pastor her students. She is a well-known speaker with a strong prophetic message.

George Burlo

Associate Professor

George was part of a PBC Affiliate program in Idaho in 2011. He later enrolled in PBC full-time, graduating in 2021. He initially worked part-time in the online department and part-time teacher, and as of 2024, is a full-time associate professor.

Rachelle Layzell

Registrar, International Student Advisor

Rachelle has an extensive background both in ministry and entrepreneurship. She was part of a church plant team, spent the past 20 years starting and running a local business, and has pastored in multiple contexts. She has a heart for students and the nations. She is a proud mother of three children and enjoys photography.

Ariana Jaquith

Online Program Manager

Ariana was born in Portland but grew up in Vientiane, Laos, as a missionary. She moved to Portland to attend Portland Bible College in 2020, pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Theology. Upon graduating in 2024, she joined the PBC team.

Serena Reese

Admissions Recruiter

Serena graduated with a Bachelor of Theology in 2024. As a student, she served as a dorm leader and active member of the Student Leadership Team. She is passionate about people and looks forward to meeting new students and connecting them to the PBC community.

Edmund Bouschor

LCIO Executive Director

Edmund completed his Master’s degree at Portland State University in 1972. Edmund and Carol founded Christian Missionary Educators and the Language & Culture Institute in Oregon (LCIO), both based in Portland. In addition to administering the ESL Program at PBC, Edmund teaches and is a life coach and mentor.

Carol Bouschor

LCIO Director

Carol completed her Master’s degree at Portland State University in 1972. Carol and Edmund founded Christian Missionary Educators and the Language & Culture Institute in Oregon (LCIO), both based in Portland. In addition to administering the ESL Program at PBC, Carol teaches and is a life coach and mentor.

Carlos Campa

Spanish Program Coordinator

Born in Tijuana, Mexico, Carlos moved to the U.S. to study architecture before coming to PBC. He graduated with a BTh degree in 2014 and joined the PBC staff in 2015. He manages PBC’s Spanish Program remotely from Tijuana, Mexico, and helps resource Mannahouse Spanish services.

Betty Escalante

Head Cook

Betty, a native of El Salvador, joined the PBC family in 2006. With over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, she now thrives on uniting her passion for cooking and her love of connecting with students. Betty has a shepherd’s heart and enjoys spreading the message of God through the joy of food and hospitality.
