Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to apply to Portland Bible College to participate?
Yes, all students must complete a PBC admissions application by November 15th and be accepted and have made a deposit in order to be eligible to participate.
Do I have to complete Round 1 before I can compete in Round 2?
Yes. If you’d like to complete Round 1 and Round 2 during one visit, you are more than welcome to do that!
Does all of this have to be done on campus?
No! We offer each component of the competition in person and virtually, so you can choose to complete it all in person, all online, or a combination of two.
When do I need to complete the competition by?
Round 1 must be completed by November 15 and Round 2 by November 30th.
Wait, so you’re saying that if I apply and do a campus visit by November 15th, I get $250?
Yup. You totally do.
What’s the catch?
There is no catch.
What if I’ve already participated in a campus tour or counselor visit in person or online?
No sweat! If you’ve already attended an admissions office coordinated campus tour or met with an admissions counselor, you don’t need to do that again! You’ll just want to sign up for a community engagement opportunity and you’ll be good to go!
I don’t know which program or emphasis I want to take. Does that mean I can’t compete in Round 2?
We bet you have some sort of idea of what you’d like to emphasize in – even if it’s between a couple of options. We encourage you to pick the one you’re leaning towards most and shoot for that target!
How do I submit my entry?
We will be emailing you details depending on your competition target of choice.
