At PBC, we understand the importance of transparent financial processes. To ensure clarity regarding refunds, we have outlined the following policies:
We understand that circumstances may arise where a student needs to withdraw from their enrolled courses. In such cases, we have established this refund policy to ensure fair and transparent financial arrangements.
- Students whose accounts are paid in full at the time of enrollment are eligible for refunds as per the schedule provided below.
- For students with an outstanding balance on their account, any refundable amount will first be applied as a credit towards the outstanding balance owed.
- In cases where a credit balance remains on the student’s account after applying any applicable refunds and credits, a refund will be issued.
- If the credits applied do not fully cover the outstanding balance, it is the student’s responsibility to settle the remaining amount by the end of the semester. Failure to do so may result in collection efforts being initiated.
- Fees are non-refundable and will not be included in the refund process.
Please refer to the table below for a breakdown of the refund percentages based on the timing of the withdrawal:
Portland Campus
Weeks of Withdrawal | Tuition Refund/Credit |
---|---|
1st and 2nd weeks | 80% |
3rd and 4th weeks | 60% |
5th and 6th weeks | 40% |
7th and 8th weeks | 20% |
After 8th week | No refund/credit |
Online Campus
Weeks of Withdrawal | Tuition Refund/Credit |
---|---|
1st and 2nd weeks | 100% |
3rd and 4th weeks | 80% |
5th and 6th weeks | 60% |
7th and 8th weeks | 40% |
After 8th week | No refund/credit |
It is important to note that the refund or credit applies only to the tuition portion of the fees. For students who have paid their entire balance in full upfront, a prorated refund will be issued based on the withdrawal timing. For students on a payment plan, a prorated credit will be applied accordingly.
Additionally, room and board fees are prorated on a weekly basis, considering that a typical semester spans 16 weeks. Please note that room and board fees are all-inclusive, and no discounts are given for non-utilization of meal services.
For students on a payment plan, a prorated credit will be applied accordingly.
